Type of script
Tidy, upright and calligraphic 'mercantesca' script, with influence of the humanist script. Light brown ink.
Annotations
The main scribe is responsible for a number of cancellations and corrections of the text. Some spaces were left blank in the first instance and were filled with missing words by the scribe in a secondary phase of revision.
Decoration
Absent; blank space for initials at fols. 1r, 5v, 36v, 83r. At fols. 36r-v and 82v some lines were left blank by the scribe for rubricating the "argumenta" of the books, which were never realised.

fol. 1r: "Meritamente sono obligati gli huomini di douere rendere grandissime gratie agli scriptori".

Explicit

fol. 126v: "e scripse molte altre cose d’india delle quali innançi non sera auto cognitione alcuna".
